Multigenerational Trauma: A Legacy of Epigenetic Inheritance. Presented by Jack Perkins, D.Min., LADC, CSAC, CCLC.
Multigenerational trauma is a general term used to explain the cumulative psychological woundedness of individuals and how it spreads exponentially across generations. Multigenerational trauma is historic experiences that have led to a sense of helplessness and hopelessness due to alterations in symptoms of meaning, which Sandra Bloom describes as a loss of institutional trust, innocence of childhood, what should have been there but wasnÕt, moral clarity, and loss of purpose, meaning, joy and a will to live.
